Where's the beef?!
Haha...I totally forgot about that until I was half done dinner. Whoops!
very familiar characters.. ;)
Really? Are they popular? I just love Asian stationary. I wish I knew what they said though!
Well, they are, indeed, at least here in my country. I just wonder how you got this. These are characters from a huge hit cartoon which literally every one in four giggles and chuckles reading. I don't know it's still being published or not becuase, well, I'm not that into this nor find it cute. hehe. But if you're interested in this, you can visit its website www.marineblues.net and find it more. You will also be able to see some cartoons that are translated in English. And from the picture in your post although I can only see the limited part of it, it says, "Thank you, thank you!" and "See? I'm the best (for you)" in Korean. :)
There are a lot of shops in Montreal that cater to, as they call it, "Asian Gifts". It's pretty common to see stationary in shops like these or in Chinatown. Usually, I only see Hello Kitty stationary which I don't really like. I like ones with a lot of "engrish" in them but it's rare to see that now. I was really happy to find this MarineBlues one!I suppose I find it cute because I have no idea what they are saying and I'm totally unaware at how popular it is, haha. I suppose it's like in North America...a lot of people LOVE Disney movies and I could really care less about them. Thanks for the translation! :)
